Sunday, 6-23-13

Hi!  I have done some fun stuff this past week!

Grandma and I did some more mystery shopping.  I got a really cute cat-purse.  I named her Julia, and Grandma bought her a purple pet tag at Petco!  She's awesome.  Here is a picture...

We went to the library again, and I had a chance to play on the playground there.  That was totally cool!  We went to breakfast at the Highland Cafe, and I got a huge waffle with strawberries and whipped cream.  YUM!

I did some crafts this week.  I made a huge family tree, and we framed it and put it on the wall!  Grandma said it's hard to get a good picture of it, but here is one.  You get the idea. :)

A couple of days this week, we both felt icky.  Our tummies felt yucky.  I even had a nosebleed!  It got SOOOOO HOT! Grandpa was out of town, and so we ate artichokes and watched a lot of TV.  I like to snuggle with Ricky and Jester.  They love me!

So when we felt better, it was nice.  Grandpa came home on Friday, and we picked him up at the airport.  We had to hurry home, because I made him a chalk sign that he would see on the ground when he walked out the garage door.  It was getting ready to rain.  I was worried that his surprise would wash away!

For dinner, we went to Smashburger.  The weather was NASTY!  There were trees and tree limbs falling down all over the place, and it was raining SO HARD!  Grandpa was the hero, and he ran out into the rain and got the car, and picked us up under the roof so we wouldn't have to run in the rain.  Then, he had to dodge the huge tree pieces on the road, and swerve from lane to lane while the rain was CRASHING on the roof, and it was thundering and lightning.  OH MY GOSH!  It was scary.  When we got home, the power was out!  So, we had flashlights and candles.  There were loud crashes all night long from thunder and lightning.  The next day was normal.

Today was fun!  We went to a Carnival!  Grandma had to do some mystery shopping there.  The sun finally came out, but the ground was wet and yucky!  I was glad I was wearing flip flops.  I got to ride a dinosaur ride... I had a carmel apple with sprinkles, and some funnel cake... and, Grandma won me a goldfish!  Her name is Pangur Ban.  I named her after the cat in 'Secret of Kells'.  As we were leaving the carnival, we saw something awesome... a Bald Eagle!  He was flying right over us.  Grandma told me to wave to him.  He flapped his wings and flew closer over our heads, then turned around and flew the other way.  I think he was checking us out.

So, that's all for this week!  Love you!

Sunday, 6-16-13

Today, the weather was BEAUTIFUL!  And it was Father's Day.  We got up early and did the dishes.  Grandpa Peter went out and bought doughnuts for breakfast.  Mine had sprinkles!

After breakfast, we took Ricky and Jester to the dog park.  It is right next to the Mississippi River, and there is a huge, high bridge there that is SO HIGH!

Ricky was so excited to get to the dog park, that he pulled me down and dragged me through the MUD!  My knees and my flip flops were covered in mud.  I know he wasn't being mean, he was just excited.  He loves to run and run and run and run and run at the dog park!  Grandpa washed the mud off my feet and my flip flops, and I changed clothes when we got back home, so it was OK.  Grandma says, "That's why we always wear old clothes to the dog park - sometimes they get messy, but it's lots of fun"!

Here are some pictures from the dog park.

This is Grandpa watching me trying to catch Ricky and Jester.  You can just barely see Ricky.  He is that tiny white dot way ahead of me and Jester.

Jester stayed with me, and we ran around a lot.  He likes the PEOPLE at the dog park much better than the dogs.

Going home!  I had to tie Ricky's leash around my waist because he kept on running and running when we were trying to leave!

After the dog park, me and Grandma went to a garden center to buy dirt, so she could plant some plants.  There were loose flowers everywhere!  I put some in my hair. :)

I don't know what was up with these tomatoes.  But I am practicing my meditation with them.  They seemed so peaceful.

One of the funnest parts of today was when I got to meet our neighbors.  Xenia is so cute!  We played with sidewalk chalk and rode bikes.  Xenia's Mommy, Emily, said I could come over and play lots of times while I am here!  I also met another friend, Maive, who is closer to my age.  I like this neighborhood!

So that was today.  Grandpa Peter has to go to Florida tomorrow for his work, so it's just going to be me and Grandma this week.  We have some super spy shopping to do, and then on Tuesday - MALL OF AMERICA!  I can't wait to go shopping with my graduation money!

Talk to you later!  I love you and miss you all!

Saturday, 6-15-13

Rainy day!  Well... part of it was.  The rest was really sunshiney.

Grandpa made me Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast!  They were pumpkin pancakes.  YUM!  It tasted like Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.

So then, I watched some more of my nature DVD, and then we went to WalMart.  I needed some shorts, so I got these!  I love the black ones.  They look just like Whitney's.  We can be twins!

There had to be some 'Hello Kitty' stuff in there. :-)

Grandpa told me that I needed a new toothbrush.  He said I could pick out any one I wanted, so I picked a spinbrush that had stickers you could put on it.  IT IS SOOOOO COOL!!!  I put my name on it in stickers, and 99 other things.  I love it!  I couldn't wait to get home and brush my teeth!

Me and Grandma went to the library.  She got a bunch of Dinosaur videos for me, and I got some books.  I have read them all, already.  But the library was cool!

After the library, me and Grandma went to Panera, because Grandpa and Carlo went out for Father's Day.  I had macaroni and cheese, and Grandma said that her friend Sami invented it!  It was soooooooo creamy and delicious!

I watched one of my dinosaur videos while Grandma was making dinner (she made a strawberry-rhubarb pie, and I got to lick the whipped cream spoon!).  Me and Ricky played outside in the yard while Grandma was cooking.  Dinner was pretty yummy!  Grandma made homemade meatballs.  She thought I might like to help her roll the meatballs, but... well... it was disgusting.  YUCK!  I don't like messing with uncooked meat. But guess what?  They tasted YUMMY!  We had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, with yummy, toasty, buttery bread.

Today was a great day.  I am going to have some pie before I go to bed, with some homemade whipped cream.  Jester licked the mixer thingy, but none of his cooties went into the whipped cream because Grandma had already put it in the fridge.

Talk to you later!  I love you!

Hi guys!

Ummmm today was FUN!  Well.  Some of it was boring.  Grandma had to do more work, and I rode along.  We went to a computer shop, and it was boring UNTIL we found a game for my Nintendo DS that cost 99 cents!  WOOHOO!

I spent the morning watching some videos, and drawing some pictures.  Here is a picture I drew, based on the cover of the tiger movie:

After the computer shop, we had to waste some time.  Grandma wanted to look around in Target, so I played with my new game in the shopping cart!

I love this new game!  It is a Sims Animals game.

I was getting grumpy and hungry.  I didn't know what I wanted.  Grandma figured out that I wanted Chinese, so we went to a buffet.  They had an awesome fish tank and Koi pond there!

As you can see, I decided to wear Kitty Ears today. :)

Sooooo for dinner we had steak, and corn on the cob, and more yummy dinner rolls, and potatoes, and fruit salad!  And, guess what?  My new uncle, Carlo, was here!  He is really smart, and he knows a lot about movies and video games.

After dinner, me and Grandma took a walk around the block.  I saw some of the other little girls from the neighborhood, but they were busy.  We came back home and there was a dandelion fluff in the garden!  I decided to make a wish.

So, that was today!  I am finishing up watching a nature video with Grandpa Peter, and then it will be bedtime.  I am having a lot of fun!

See you tomorrow!

Love you!

Here are some pictures...

Kindergarten Graduation Day, waiting to walk up to the stage.

Last day of Kindergarten... TRACK DAY!

Orange Cream Soda is YUMMY!

This is me on the plane with Rainbow Dash... it was BOUNCY!

I had to snuggle Grandma, because she HATES flying.

Ricky loves to snuggle up on me, when I watch TV in the Ikea chair.  He is so cute.

This is when I first met my buddy, Jester.  He is goofy.

Grandma wanted to get me a bike to ride this summer.  I loved this one!  But guess what?  It was $350!!!!  WHAT???!!!!

Today, I woke up around 7 am.  I decided to read books and do some drawing.  I drew a cute monkey!  I think I might like to draw a bunch of monkeys and hang then on the leaf canopy over my bed.  That would be like a rainforest!  I would like to draw fishes and attach them to the bottom of my bed, but Grandma said my covers would cover them up.  She's right.  But it was a cool idea.

I helped feed the dogs.  Boy, they get so excited in the morning!  I read a story to them.  It's called, "Dizzy, the Mutt with the Propeller Butt".  They LOVED it!  It is a cute story.

Grandma and I did some secret shopping today.  We had to go into some stores and see if the people would be nice.  Everyone was really nice!  I got two new DVDs.  One of them is a Scooby Doo, and one of them is about two little tiger brothers.  When I got hungry, I told grandma I could eat a hot dog.  She said, "Hmmmm... we don't have a lot of fast food around here, but I'll see what I can do."  I was disappointed.  I said, "You mean... you only have SLOW food around here?"  I don't know why, but Grandma thought that was really funny.  She is so silly.  But she found a Dairy Queen, and I got a yummy hot dog and some applesauce.

We went to Grandma's doctor appointment, and I found out that I am exactly 48.5 inches tall!  That's really awesome, because you have to be 48 inches tall to ride the cooler kid rides at Mall of America.  That's where we're going one of these days.  Well, probably more than one day, because it's a huge, big, enormous place!

So we were almost done shopping, and Grandma said we had one more place to go.  I said, sooooo we will go see how nice THESE people are, and then we will go home.  But we don't have to see how nice the people are at home, because we ALREADY KNOW how THEY act!  Grandma started laughing again.  I don't know why she thinks some things are soooooooooooo funny.  She's getting old.

We had some kind of weird chicken for dinner.  When you cut it open, melted butter ran out of it.  Hmmmm.  We also had some vegetables and some fries.  I told Grandma that the fries weren't healthy, and I didn't want them.  I really liked the dinner rolls though.  And I LOVED the corn, and green beans, and carrots, and peas.  Just not the Lima Beans.  Icky.

I think tomorrow we might get to go to the Library, if we don't have too many spy things to do.  There are some little girls in the neighborhood, and I want to meet them, too.

You know what?  Minnesota is really cool!  There is no snow here, and everybody's really nice.  I like it.

Love you and miss you!

I Made It To Minnesota!

Today is Thursday, June 13, 2013.  Grandma had this great idea to make me a blog, so I can share details of my summer visit with her in Minnesota.  So far, we have had quite an adventure!  Grandma Lisa will type this up for me, and add some of her observations - but much of this is my own story, in my own words.

Yesterday, we left Indianapolis SUPER early in the morning and Puppy John drove us to the airport.  When we got there, Grandma used the computer to get our boarding passes.  The computer would not give her the boarding pass for ME, so we had to ask the lady behind the counter.  She was really nice, but she said our plane was delayed by TWO HOURS. *SIGH*  OH BOY, we were going to have to wait.

We went through security.  That was easy.  Rainbow Dash had to ride in a bucket, and get X-rayed!  But it was fast.  We walked to our gate, and Grandma got really nervous because our flight was CANCELLED!  She talked to the lady at the counter, though, and they put us on a different flight.

But guess what?  We had to walk a LONG WAY to get to the other airplane.  When we got there, the lady wouldn't let us get on the plane!  She said she didn't have our bag and my carseat, and so we couldn't get on the plane.  I was getting worried, but Grandma said it would be OK.  I just wanted Puppy John to come back and pick us up!  It worked out OK though, because they found our stuff and so we got to go on the plane.

When the plane took off I yelled, "WOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!  Minnesota, HERE WE COME!"  I was so excited!  The plane ride was fun.  When it was time to land, we could see the ocean!  And we could see New York City!  Grandma said we were landing in Newark.  I think she just couldn't pronounce "New York".  She's getting so old.

We ate at the airport.  It was pizza and garlic knots.  I tried the garlic knots and said, "EW!!!" They were too garlicky.  Grandma bought me some gum and water for the plane and then, guess what?  We got back on the SAME PLANE!!  The same plane from Indianapolis was taking us to Mindianapolis!  (Grandma says you say it like, "MINI-APPLE-US", but I think she just doesn't know.  She's getting so old.

Well, our seats were in the VERY BACK of the plane, and it was a long ride.  It was bumpy!  I really had to pee, and the seat belt light was on, but Grandma said it would be OK since we were sitting right next to the restroom.  She went in with me, and it was so crowded!  I giggled because it was bumpy and crowded! Hahaha!

We sat back down.  I was having fun playing on the Kindle Fire and reading Skymall.  Grandma was reading an old-school book about some King in England who was really mean to his wives.  The pilot said we were going to have a bumpy landing because there were thunderstorms downstairs.  It WAS!  We were bounce, bounce, bouncing all over the place!  It was sooooo fun!  When we finally landed, Grandma said she was going to kiss the ground.  I never saw her do that.  She is so silly.

We went to get our luggage, and guess what?  Our luggage got off the plane without us!  My car seat went to Charlotte, and our suitcase went to Chicago!  What?!!!!!  A nice man brought them to Grandma's house before bedtime, though.  I was glad, because Mama Bunny was in the luggage.

I really love my room and the dogs are so funny!  Ricky is silly!  Jester just loves me.  Ricky likes to snuggle up with me on the chair.  They love me.

Tomorrow, Grandma says we have some secret shopping to do.  I think it will be fun to be a spy.  I hope nobody discovers us!

Thanks for reading!  Talk to ya tomorrow!

Love,
Marlee
